Description:
“Eclogue” was originally conceived as a devotional piece for flugelhorn (or trumpet) and organ in 2002. In this version the saxophone adds a jazz tinge and players can opt to play their own improvised solo or the suggested improvised solo written by Nigel Wood.
The E-Edition PDF bundle includes Bb and Eb saxophone parts and piano accompaniment. The Bb part included is as played by Nigel Wood on “Soprillogy”.
“Eclogue” is included in the following exam syllabus:
TCL Jazz Saxophone – Grade 5 (Eb & Bb) – valid from November 2022
Please check the latest exam syllabi for updates and amendments.
“Eclogue” is also available in hard-copy from June Emerson Wind Music. A separate version for Bb soprillo saxophone and piano is also available.
Reviews:
A beautiful piece that I used as a meditation in a church service. Used an Akai EWIUSB in place of the soprillo. Easy and melodic, your audience will enjoy this.
